The Banality of War in Verses

No war is born in squares
Surrounded by birds and secular trees
Passenger citizens in public places
Alienated heads with peculiar ideologies.

Polygons - Humans - Mauro Felippe

The concept of war has existed since the earliest times, when archaic civilizations were already battling or invading enemy lands. Regardless of the motive that created it, being considered worthy or not, war is something painful, that generates death and destruction wherever it goes. In the book "Humans", the lawyer and poet Mauro Felippe raises great reflections on humanity, such as the banality of war.

In the poem "Polygons", the poet speaks in touching way about a theme that marks and generates numerous discussions. In addition to talking about the hypocrisy of those who start conflicts, but they do not participate, caring little for those who will actually be on the battlefield. Addressing a broad view of society, "Humans" is a disturbing timeless work.
