Israel X Palestine War: The Flowers of Gaza

Remains of flowers
Forced departures
Without even sprouting
On the ground now dead

Life and abortion
In the aridity of the earth
Blood stained
Terror waiting

A conflict that has existed for at least 1948. The war in the Gaza Strip has lasted for 70 years and there is still no provision for a truce between the two states, Jewish and Palestinian. The poem above "The flowers of Gaza", Published in the book Nine of writer and lawyer Mauro Felippe, is an allusion to this extensive battle between the Israelis and the Palestinians.

The solution to the septuagenarian impasse of land, power and politics in the region still has not found a solution. And it remains one of the greatest wishes for those who celebrate and mourn this birthday all over the world. In the end, those who pay the price for the war are the innocents.

Author of several works, Nine was the poet's first publication. In the book, Mauro addresses everyday issues and human behavior in a lyrical and critical way. With intense and colorful illustrations created by Rael Dionisio, his reflections gain polychromatic and alive tones, gathering even more force to his words.

Nine only one of the poems produced by Mauro in adolescence, but is composed mainly of texts created in their adult phase with a mature and realistic tone of the world.
